St. Mary Women's Club Holds Annual Fashion Show

Tickets are now on sale for the two-day event, which aims to raise $25,000.

’s Women’s Club will hold its annual fashion show fundraiser Feb. 17 and 18 at the Marriott Resort in Lincolnshire.

Patrick McCaskey, board member and senior director of special projects for the Chicago Bears, will be the keynote speaker at the Feb. 17 event. McCaskey is also chairman of Sports Faith International, which recognizes people in sports who lead exemplary lives. He is the authored of Bear with Me: A Family History of George Halas and the Chicago Bears and Sports and Faith: Stories of the Devoted and the Devout.

The Feb. 17 event also includes a gourmet dinner provided by the Marriott Lincolnshire Hotel, 20 raffle baskets each filled with merchandise from Lord and Taylor and valued at more than $250, musical entertainment provided by Reverie Dance Academy and Singers. The evening will conclude with dancing.

The Feb. 18 festivities will be emceed by Colleen Ferreira, a television news reporter at WSBT-TV in South Bend, Ind. Ferreira graduated from Saint Mary School, and St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame. 

The fashion show will showcase the latest in women’s, men’s and children’s spring and summer fashions from Lord & Taylor in Woodfield Mall.

The two-day fundraiser is expected to raise more than $25,000. 

The St. Mary Women’s Club has sponsored more than 50 fashion shows.  Proceeds have helped provide meals to the homeless in the community through PADS, coats to disadvantaged children and adults, gift cards to needy families, meals and support to the local USO, scholarships and special events and requests that support parish life in the community.

Tickets to the Feb. 17 event are $60 per person. The Feb. 18 event is $45 for adults, $40 for seniors and $30 for youths. To make a reservation, email joyito@comcast.net.
