SHS Names New Cross Country Coach
Maureen LeVanti will replace Don Proft as girls cross country coach.
Maureen LeVanti has been named the next girls cross country coach at Stevenson High School. She replaces Don Proft, who guided the program from 1999-2012.
“I am very pleased and grateful to have this wonderful opportunity,” said LeVanti, who also is an art teacher at the school. “I can’t wait to take on this new and exciting challenge!”
LeVanti has served as an assistant coach in the girls cross country the past two seasons, and in the girls track and field program for the past three years. Before joining Stevenson, she served one year as an assistant coach for cross country and track at Conant High School.

“Maureen has infused her passion and energy into our girls cross country and track programs since her arrival in 2011,” said Athletic Director Trish Betthauser. “Her enthusiasm for working with student-athletes is unmatched. I'm excited to work with her as she leads our young ladies in the seasons to come.”
