SHS Hockey Players Help Feed Hungry Children
Athletes helped pack more than 100,000 meals while volunteering at a Lake County event.
The hockey teams, along with hockey parents and coaches, participated in the Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack Event at the Lake County Fairgrounds on Dec. 4. The players used their speed to help pack 116,640 meals during a two-hour shift, helping the organization reach its goal of 800,000 meals during the three-day event.
