Seven Compete for Four SHS School Board Seats

Five of District 125's candidates are profiled today. All of the candidates have been invited to attend a public forum on Tuesday.

On April 5, voters will elect four of seven candidates to the District 125 School Board.

Follow the links to learn more about the goals, beliefs and backgrounds of Charles Cardella, Bruce Lubin, Terry Moons, Merv Roberts and David Weisberg. Candidates Kim Brady and Kathy Powell did not respond to the questions sent by Buffalo Grove Patch.

Brady, Cardella and Powell are campaigning together “to bring fresh new leadership to provide more fiscal accountability and transparency,” according to their website. Meanwhile, incumbents Lubin, Moons and Roberts have teamed with Weisberg. Their website touts their combined 50 years of District 125 leadership and says they “are committed to retaining Stevenson's strong leadership position among U.S. public high schools.”

All of the candidates have been invited to participate in a forum at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the recital hall of Stevenson’s Performing Arts Center. The forum, which will be moderated by the school’s Political Action Club, is open to the public.
