Day through a PTO-sponsored pizza/bingo event held on Feb. 25. She carried out her duties on April 8, accompanying Principal Christine Pfaff on classroom visits and attending meetings with staff. Being nervous made her giggle when making morning announcements, she confessed.
Meanwhile, fourth-graders Brett and Blake Gitler were assistant principals for the day on April 5. They won the honor through a drawing at the Ivy Hall PTO-sponsored pizza/bingo event earlier in the school year. Accompanied by Principal Jennifer Brown, their responsibilities as assistant principals included leading Board of Education members on a building tour to highlight facility improvements made to the cafeteria and other areas in Ivy Hall School.
