Public Invited to Donate Blood at BGHS

Buffalo Grove High School's Senior Class Board will host its annual Blood Drive under the auspices of LifeSource Blood Services.

The community is welcome to join students, staff, and parents in making a life-saving 10-minute donation. The entire process takes a total of about 45 minutes, from registration to refreshments. Potential donors ages 16-80 must weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. A mini-physical is part of the procedure, in which a nurse will take the pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and test hemoglobin levels. A photo I.D. is required to donate blood. Donors are asked to prepare well for their donation by eating and arriving well hydrated.

All participating donors will receive a T-shirt (while supplies last) bearing the slogan: "Status Update: Donate Blood. Save Lives."
