Aptakisic-Tripp School District 102 Parent Network presents a Parent Only Workshop with psychologist, bestselling author, and nationally known parenting expert, Dr. David Walsh.
Walsh will lead "Why Do They Act That Way? - Say Yes to No," an engaging conversation about kids, their brains, and how we can stay connected with them during this remarkable period of growth. Sharing material from two of his bestselling books, Why Do They Act That Way? A Survival Guide to the Adolescent Brain for You and Your Teen, and his newest book, No: Why Kids — of All Ages — Need to Hear It and Ways Parents Can Say It, Dr. Walsh will provide useful strategies to help parents understand and deal with common and not-so-common challenges such as honoring curfews, bullying, and the effects of media on our kids.
