Village Board Briefs: July 25
These were among the actions taken by the Board of Trustees.
The Village Board approved the appointment of Larry Meyer to the Bicycle Committee, Denice Bocek as vice chairwoman of the Plan Commission and Zill Khan as secretary of the Plan Commission.
The village seeks applicants who wish to serve on the Plan Commission or Electrical Commission. Interested residents are asked to submit a talent bank application.
Officials renewed a contract with Aldridge Electric to maintain village-owned street lights in 2011-12. The village has budgeted up to $205,800 for street light maintenance.

Officials authorized the village to solicit requests for proposals for new financial software that will be more efficient for staff and allow residents to make online payments. Staff members plan to recommend a vendor to the Village Board on Oct. 17.
