Sherman, Sirabian Face Off in Village Clerk Race

Rob Sherman is running against Janet Sirabian, who has held the position since 1979.

Buffalo Grove residents will decide next month who will be entrusted with documenting village officials’ actions and conducting other assorted clerical duties when they cast votes for the next village clerk.

Janet Sirabian, who has served as clerk since 1979, has been opposed only once before. For the past 32 years, she has been responsible for taking board meeting minutes, handling voter registration and processing licenses, among other tasks.

This election she faces Rob Sherman, who is best known as a vocal atheist and civil rights crusader.
