Retiring Sergeant Gets Standing Ovation

Buffalo Grove Sgt. Scott Kristiansen was recognized Monday for 30 years of service.

Buffalo Grove officials and residents honored Sgt. Scott Kristiansen with a standing ovation Monday, when the Village Board recognized him for 30 years of service to the police department.

The short program, which included a plaque presented by Village President Jeff Braiman, followed Kristiansen's formal send-off on Dec. 31, when he was honored by his colleagues at the police station.

Congratulations to Scott! He was definitely one of Buffalo Grove's Finest. He served the residents of Buffalo Grove with integrity and dedication. He will be missed. He was a good "cop".
