So long as the elected officials don't break "Robert's Rules", as I relentlessly challenged for 18 months....it seems anything is possible in Buffalo Grove! Look back to 1981 - then unincorporated Lake County, with varying town names, now annexed into Buffalo Grove, Illinois 60089. Flood plane AND Aptakisic Creek. The Clean Water Act. And, Safe Drinking Water Regulations. Lake County & Buffalo Grove Maps.

Sandy: There are many FAQ's, but never FAA's that one can believe in. As a Former Trustee of Buffalo Grove, I found the topic quite curious, as you should ponder. I don't Activate on issues that are benign. I just don't....

Lisa, if you are getting triggers from village activities, you should really seek professional help. Self-harm is a serious medical condition, and needs medical attention.
Mark Bushey August 13, 2012 at 03:55 AM
Lisa... my favorite part I believe is at 3:50... when the board walked out on you. But knowing you, if most of BG voices their opinions about this proposal, you will take credit for it.
RELENTLESSCRITIC August 13, 2012 at 04:05 AM
You mean the Roberts Rules of Order you repeatedly VIOLATED? Or the ones you tried to re-write to suit your needs? The ones you ignored so you could disrupt virtually every Board meeting you ever participated in? Yep- those Roberts Rules of Order. They even gave you a copy of them that you waived around at meetings but apparently never dad. No on cares about your opinion on this or any other village matter. Voters sent you packing two years ago still don't care what you have to say. We already know you're going to try to jump out front on is issue because it will be controversial and the press will be all over it. Then, as Mark already noted, you'll attempt to take credit for whatever happens. How's planning for Laughingstock going? Your buddy Sid Mathias gonna be there to support you?

Stuart- she'll weigh in on any matter that might allow her to get her name in the papers. Just watch her go on this one...

Stuart & Relentless: You can tell the public for the rest of your lives of what didn't occur on your watch, but the reality is that I have principles and represented the people's interest as an elected official of Buffalo Grove...while it appears that others comfortably chose to look the other way on varying issues. I did not have to respond with investigation to the citizen that brought me the noxious odors eminating from the landfill, the BG Days coupon program, the Disability Donation money NOT earmarked for kids with disabilities, the under the radar OTB vote and the list goes on & on....but I took an Oath of Office that means something, at least to some Politicians - and all the rhetoric & blogging that you do will never change the TRUTH. Never, so blog on, but keep in mind that your tenacity is about protecting.....whose interest? Certainly, citizens don't fight to protect government as you two do, as we all know that government can sometimes be corrupt. Illinois happens to be #1 in the Country....as you may have experienced, on your terms, that is.
Lisa Stone August 13, 2012 at 06:39 AM
James: President Jeff Braiman likes to personally fund Recalls. Given that reality, just follow his trail to see what's in store for Buffalo Grove if an official stands really strong or questions his past. More alarming is that he's running for Lake County Judge, which if anyone could understand his character, perhaps they'd understand just how deeply concerning the possibility of Jeff as a Judge, determining crime and people's fate, really is. Frightening to say the least, especially given his LACK of decent representation of sexually molested children! Despicable.
Stuart Tindall August 13, 2012 at 11:12 AM
Hmm, I have never represented sexually molested children. That must mean I am despicable. In fact, most people in Buffalo Grove are despicable. Truly, a shocking insight into the mind of Lisa Stone.
Stuart Tindall August 13, 2012 at 11:15 AM
It's my interest to not have to listen to your drivel. You are fouling up the community by acting like this and destroying our good reputation as a good community. I'm not not fighting for the government; I'm fighting to have you locked up in a mental institution.
Lisa Stone August 13, 2012 at 02:54 PM
Good Luck, Stu, as there are alot more people than you have begun to realize, and of impeccable credibility & reputation - even in government, that in fact find my perspective, fight for truth and transparency quite refreshing & unique in our unprecedented corrupt state of Illinois. As The Better Government Association told me in 2010....the "defense" always tell the public that whistle blowers are crazy...until they're vindicated, which I was long ago - or the issues I'm battling wouldn't still be of public interest. Wake up or get yourself help already, Stu!
RELENTLESSCRITIC August 13, 2012 at 04:04 PM
Sorry Ms. Stone, but your bitterness is showing. You couldn't hold onto your office for more than a year before almost 9000 voters sent you packing in disgrace. Now you're doing everything you can to assassinate Braiman's character. Envy is not a good color on you- it just makes you look even more sad, pathetic and spiteful. Braiman was not the only one who helped fund the recall- but I know all of us agree that it was money well spent. If there was a way to get you legally shunned from the community, I'm sure there would be scores of people standing in line with fistfulls of cash wanting to support that effort too.
RELENTLESSCRITIC August 13, 2012 at 04:13 PM
Ms Stone- you want to hijack this thread and make it all about you? Then let's do it. You keep insinuating that I am an elected official. I will repeat for at least the 20th time- I am not, nor have I ever been a candidate, elected official or employee in Buffalo Grove. I am just a citizen who is tired of you wasting our tax dollars and resources, and disrupting the village government so you can shill your personal causes and get your name in the paper. The hyper-inflated claims you made about your "accomplishments" didn't amount to a hill of beans. They were either non-issues or merely simple human errors that were quickly corrected. There was nothing evil, underhanded or unethical about anything you claimed to have uncovered. In fact- all of those things played out very publicly in the press and guess what? There was no public outcry. No investigations by the press or the state's attorney's office. The amounted to nothing more than your idiotic grandstanding. You're no whistle blower, but you sure like to blow your own horn a lot. I hope you don't hurt your arm from patting yourself on the back.
RELENTLESSCRITIC August 13, 2012 at 04:31 PM
STONE: "there are alot more people than you have begun to realize, and of impeccable credibility & reputation - even in government, that in fact find my perspective, fight for truth and transparency quite refreshing & unique in our unprecedented corrupt state of Illinois" Oh yeah? Where are all these people? Why aren't they coming out in droves to support you? Why no huge public outcry about the water quality in BG, or any of your other allegations about BG government? If there is a problem with water quality, then your elected official friends should be all over this matter so they can protect the public. Why haven't we heard from them? And if the BGA is so supportive of you, why haven't they been here in BG sniffing around to check the veracity of your claims? Having a one-email exchange with their director two years ago (before he knew what a troublemaking nincompoop you were) does not constitute support from them, so stop trying to make it seem as of they are behind you. All they did was send you a quote about whistleblowers that you keep repeating. Just get a T-shirt made already. Your audacity to post a link to your coments about the downtown BG project is really amusing. Besides your husband (and maybe not even him), I guarentee that there wasn't a single person in BG who said, "I wonder how Lisa Stone feels about this project? I wish she'd let us know."
Lisa Stone August 13, 2012 at 04:40 PM
Relentless: If you're not that tight with government, then you have an unusual knowledge with all things Buffalo Grove Government, so perhaps you should RUN for office? You're a natural and somewhat prescient I'd say, given your stated objectivity. As far as my claims and accomplishments, I suggest you do the research and stop listening to the Board, your spouse, brother in law, or whomever you work with. Aside from meeting with and speaking with the FBI at length, I speak with many people in government - good government that is, though in politics I've learned to keep my friends close and my enemies closer at times, depending on the issue I'm battling. You'll never win your battle with me RC, as I come from a place of truth and you come from deception and uncourageously behind a silly mask. Who do you really think the public believes is telling it straight.... me or you? Further, I don't get paid to fight for good government, as any moral human being knows that it feels better to give than it does to receive, though you probably haven't experienced that feeling, other than funding my Recall. I have a hunch your giving stops there.... and I feel bad for those that call you family, friend or Your Honor of some sort. That's actually repulsive, but you can't choose your family!
RELENTLESSCRITIC August 13, 2012 at 04:50 PM
Ms Stone- you are right about Illinois politicians- we have had some of the worst in the country. And you have the dubious distinction of being the first one to actually be recalled for ineptitude and obnoxious behavior by an overwhelming majority of voters. That makes you one of the worst- if not THE worst- politician in Illinois history, and maybe in the entire country. That will forever be your biggest achievement and legacy as an elected official. So good luck trying to get anyone to take you seriously with that huge monkey on your back. You can make all sorts of grandiose claims about your accomplishments, how much "moxy" you have, and how you try to to fight for transparency in government, but you no credibility because your lousy actions as a trustee and subsequently as a "community watchdog" speak far louder than your words. You've been reduced to a sad, pathetic, attention-seeking narcissist who craves validation from anywhere she can get it. And if you can't get it, you fabricate it and hope people believe you. You continuously remind people how much you've done and how wonderful you are. If you really were, people would be saying it about you- you wouldn't be forced to say it about yourself.
RELENTLESSCRITIC August 13, 2012 at 05:15 PM
So aren't you glad you decided to try to hijack this thread to make it all about you? I'll always be happy to oblige you because there's so much fodder for me to work with. You are no paragon of virtue, and the only transparency in government you've provided is between your ears. I am all about transparency in government too. If there was three years ago, you never would have been elected as a trustee. Too many people believed the tripe you spouted before the election and they didn't take the time to find out who you truly were. But unfortunately, they sure found out quickly after you took office. My mission as a Community Watchdog Watchdog is to ensure that citizens never get hoodwinked again- by you, or anyone else like you. I'll continue to make certain the sun shines on your ineptitude, hyper-inflated stories and self-absorbed grandstanding so people don't get your fantasies, baseless allegations and innuendos mixed up with reality. Others are content to ignore you, thinking that responding to you simply fuels the fire. I see it much differently- I prefer to keep you yammering because people get real insights into the depth and breadth of your ineptitude, delusions of grandeur, arrogance and spite. Then, it is easy for them to make decisions about the value of your "causes" and claims, as is evidenced by the astounding lack of support you have. That's my contribution to the village. No need to thank me, I give and I give...
RELENTLESSCRITIC August 13, 2012 at 05:45 PM
Dan- thanks for your meaningful insights. I'm impressed with your ability to lay out a coherent argument, and using the term douchebag elevates the conversation- especially for those who join you in the lowest common denominator club. Perhaps if you did YOUR homework, you'd have a better understanding of the the havoc and waste Ms. Stone has, and continues to create for the village. If you live here and pay taxes- and have any common sense at all (that might be the deal killer for you) you'd understand what's going on. Why not use my real name? 1) Because I know it makes Ms. Stone crazy not knowing who I am. Knowing it irritates her is the best reason for me to continue. 2) I have a right to anonymous free speech- its part of the 1st amendment. If you had an education beyond the third grade you might know about free speech, but there's no indicatation that you made it past nap time. 3) Ms. Stone has demonstrated her distain for the 1st Amendment by attempting to sue someone who made an innocuous comment about her son on another comment board. Despite the court's rejection of her case, she continues her legal wrangling with hopes of driving up the guy's legal fees. I have no appetite for seeing Ms. Stone in court, much less any place else, so I will happily stay anonymous. But Dan, you can continue to make an ass of yourself using your real name. The beauty of the 1st amendment is that even idiots like you are entitled to their own opinion.
Sandy Klein August 13, 2012 at 05:53 PM
Gee *Dan Rogers*, you sure do have a short fuse and nasty fingers. You must be a relative of Stone's, given the history of what I've seen posted in her defense. For the record, Relentless Critic speaks for most of the people posting, except for Lisa's ten fanboys and girls. I don't always agree with him/her but I appreciate the fact that he/she has taken the time to be educated about our local government and its history. Lisa has proven herself to be a fame whore and a liar. If you can't see that then you have a problem. Like maybe you're related to her. I can't wait until someone sues her. I hope she and her family end up losing everything and living in a box under a viaduct somewhere so the rest of us don't have to deal with her.
RELENTLESSCRITIC August 13, 2012 at 06:04 PM
Ms. Stone- I'm not tight with government- I just do my homework. I have no need or desire to run for office, but I do like to know what is really going on in the village and where/how my tax dollars are being spent. I like how you named-dropped the FBI in your last post- am I supposed to be impressed? ANYONE can have a conversation with them, so quit with your self-important name dropping. More than likely, you'd end up on the FBI's wack job watch list long before anyone else does. And I know you are SO hopeful that I am an elected official, or a friend or relative of one so if I ever reveal my identity, you can claim I was part of some evil cabl that was out to destroy your political career. Sorry to disappoint you, but it won't happen. So continue to fantasize about the huge expose' you'll get in the papers- I'm just a regular guy who has your number and who will continue to warn others about the nonsense you're trying to foist as truth. But congratulations, it looks like Dan Rogers is now a supporter of yours. He seems like an articulate and highly educated fellow. I'm sure he'll be a real asset to your cause.
Janet Sirabian August 13, 2012 at 06:50 PM
Mrs. Stone, your attempts to falsely incriminate anyone and everyone who has worked to make Buffalo Grove the outstanding community that it is are despicable and transparently reveal your true character.
Now I may not think this whole 'let us build a downtown where one never existed' is a great idea, try to stay on track about this subject and not go off on multiple tangents about possible bad water somewhere in the area ... personal attacks on those currently in office ... 'tilt at wind mills' ... oh ... wait ... the person in question did that before, during and after their time in office.
Why not attend the following where 2 other 'non-immediate-VBG-politicians' will be present so there should be no fear of any bias against any causes? "Residents of the Buffalo Grove area will get a chance to receive an update on the status of important public issues at the state, county and municipal level at a town-hall meeting with state Rep. Sid Mathias, Lake County Board Chairman David Stolman and Buffalo Grove Village President Jeffrey Braiman 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at the Vernon Township Community Services Building, 2900 N. Main St. in Buffalo Grove. The free event is an opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues directly with policymakers." "... important public issues at the state, county and municipal level ..." Bring the coaliton and present your case or bring any other proof 'of evil' and put it out there in 'black and white' for the public to see. Don't hide it behind innuendo and 'vague reports', just, as Sgt. Joe Friday would say ... "All we want are the facts, ma'am."
Walter White August 13, 2012 at 08:03 PM
I'm sure you all realize by now that the only motivation for her stupidity is a personal vendetta against anyone who supported her recall.
RELENTLESSCRITIC August 13, 2012 at 08:09 PM
Almost 9000 people supported her recall. That's a pretty big vendetta, isn't it?
Definition of VENDETTA 1: blood feud 2: an often prolonged series of retaliatory, vengeful, or hostile acts or exchange of such acts <waged a personal vendetta against those who opposed his(her) nomination(recall)> as a favorite supporter would blog ... just sayin ...
Mark Bushey August 13, 2012 at 09:06 PM
I'm pretty sure Dan Rogers is himself a shady former trustee of another town, after doing some research. See the following links:http://www.shieldstownshipreform.com/first_qa.html http://www.shieldstownshipreform.com/history_chronology.html
