Gov. Quinn Addresses Pension Reform Questions

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn addressed questions about pension reform Thursday during a visit to Wheeling High School.

After touring the school’s new state-of-the-art nanotechnology lab, Quinn was surrounded by members of the media who fired off questions about the state’s unresolved pension crisis. Quinn said he hopes legislators will vote on a bill in early November.

“Ultimately, the legislators have to legislate. I can’t do this by executive order,” said Quinn, who has decided not to take a paycheck until the matter is settled.
