Buffalo Grove Fine Art Festival Runs July 21-22

The 11th annual summer festival will feature more than 140 artists.

More than 140 artists will display and sell their work at Buffalo Grove's 11th annual Invitational Fine Art Festival.

The event, which will run at the Buffalo Grove Town Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22, will include paintings, sculptures, woodwork, ceramics, photography, jewelry, glass, fine crafts and more.

The festival will also include Unique Expressions, a showcase of artists with Disabilities, on Saturday. On Sunday, the Youth Art Division will display and sell paintings, duct tape art, jewelry, origami and more.

The Special Gifts Theater (SGT) will provide a special performance at 10 a.m. Saturday on the main stage. SGT is a not-for-profit organization that offers creative drama program for individuals with disabilities.

Other entertainment throughout the weekend will include Cirrus Falcon, Don Thomas playing soft rock music and Michelet Innocence, a French singer and guitarist.

The Family Art Tent will offer a place for the entire family to create art at no cost.

A golf cart shuttle will be available to anyone in need of transport to and from the parking lot to the festival area at Lake-Cook Road and Route 83. Additional handicap parking will be available near .

The art festival is free and open to the public. The event will kick off Friday, July 20 with a 7 p.m. performance by the Buffalo Grove Jazz Band at the .
