Police Blotter: Vomiter Hits Hallway Twice

COMPLAINT

A resident reported Nov. 30 that he contracted with a company to remodel his kitchen. The resident paid a $4,000 deposit for custom cabinets. The resident since has learned that the company went out of business. An officer attempted to contact the company without success. The resident was advised that the return of the deposit is a civil matter.

FOUND ITEM

A silver Roadmaster MT Sport ST boy’s mountain bike was found at 9:40 a.m. Nov. 30 on the 1500 block of Countryside Drive. It was placed into property at the police station.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENTS

A resident of the 600 block of Hapsfield Road reported that someone vomited on the same spot in the hallway twice between Nov. 26 and Nov. 30. The resident said that someone also has opened packages delivered to other residents. This has been reported to the condo association. 

A resident of Old Oak Drive reported Nov. 30 that she received a phone call from a man who claimed to be from the FBI and asked her if she knew a particular person. She answered yes. The man then asked to meet with her at a local coffee shop. The resident became uncomfortable after telling the person that she would meet him. She was advised to contact the local FBI office to verify the call.

A Lake County deputy reported graffiti on the north wall of the underpass at Arlington Heights Road, just south of Checker Drive, at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 30. A work order was completed for the removal of the graffiti.
