Police Blotter: Trespassing Dog Caught on Tape

ALCOHOL

Crystal M. Palamara, 37, of the 900 block of East Old Willow Drive, Prospect Heights, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use and speeding at 2:10 a.m. Feb. 17 on Lake-Cook Road at Milwaukee Avenue.

ANIMALS 

A resident of the 500 block of Harris Drive reported that her neighbor’s dog comes through a hole in the fence and defecates on the resident’s lawn. This is an ongoing issue and the resident has asked the neighbor to control his dog, which he has not done. The resident has a video from a security camera showing the offense. An officer will follow up with the neighbor.

LOST ITEM 

A company official reported Feb. 16 that when an employee returned from a trip, he found that his Dell laptop E6500 computer was missing. The employee does not know if the computer was stolen or mislaid. The last time the employee saw the computer was in LaGuardia Airport.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A complainant reported that while a driver was getting out of his car at 9:55 a.m. Feb. 16 on the 1600 block of Weiland Road, he struck the complainant’s vehicle with his car door. An officer checked and found the damage and paint transfer to be consistent with the complainant’s claim. 

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A resident of the 1000 block of Greenridge Road returned home from walking her dog at 2:35 p.m. Feb. 16 to find her garage door standing open. Officers checked the home and found no signs of forced entry or anyone inside the house.

VANDALISM

A company official on the 1000 block of Johnson Drive reported that someone spray painted the electrical box in front of the building between 6 p.m. Feb. 15 and 7 a.m. Feb. 16.
