Police Blotter: Snow Plow Damages Vehicle

COMPLAINT

A resident of Villa Verde Drive reported being confronted by an employee of ResCom Energy who tried to get her to switch electric companies at 11 a.m. Feb. 25. Officers assisted her in verifying her ComEd account was still active.

A driver reported being tailgated after making a lane change at 6:50 a.m. Feb. 26 at McHenry and Arlington Heights roads. Both drivers pulled into a parking lot and exchanged words. One of the vehicles then left without further incident.  

An employee at a business on the 1-100 block of East Dundee Road reported two customers became upset over not being able to send a MoneyGram due to a store policy issue at 11:04 p.m. Feb. 26. Officers arrived and asked the customers to find another location to make the transaction.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A resident of the 600 block of Bernard Drive reported at 4:30 a.m. Feb. 26 that her exterior motion lights were removed from her vehicle and a marker was used on several painted surfaces.

A citizen reported a large amount of snow was pushed onto the front of his vehicle by a moving plow, which caused damage to his front headlight at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at Deerfield and Weiland roads.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A resident of the 700 block of Farrington Drive reported a man walked up to her front porch, then turned around and walked back to his maroon colored van at 11:45 a.m. Feb. 26. Officers checked the area but did locate the van.
