Police Blotter: Phone Call Complaints, Graffiti

These were among the reports released April 20 by the Buffalo Grove Police Department.

ALARM

A resident stated that when she arrived at home at 7:30 p.m. April 19, her alarm panel indicated motion in the basement. The resident requested that officers check the house and they found everything in order.
 
Officers responded to an active alarm at 2:45 a.m. April 20 on the 700 block of South Buffalo Grove Road. They found a rear door to the business not secured. Officers checked the interior and found everything OK. A store official responded and verified that all was in order. The door was secured.

HARASSING/OBSCENE PHONE CALLS

A resident received a phone call April 19 from an unknown male subject, who asked about one of the resident’s friends, and then made several sexual comments. When the caller would not identify himself, the resident hung up. The resident was given instructions for *57.

A complainant and his ex-girlfriend had a conference with police officers on April 18 and it was agreed that both would stop contact with each other. The complainant reported April 20 that the ex continues to call and stop by his residence. A complaint was signed and Colleen K. Kyrychenko, 33, of the 800 block of Trace Drive, Buffalo Grove, was charged with harassment by telephone.

MISSING PERSON

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of McHenry Road, south of Aptakisic Road, at 3:30 a.m. April 20. The vehicle was located and stopped. The 85-year-old driver had been reported missing and endangered out of Lombard. Lombard police were notified and the driver’s son picked him up.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

Someone spray-painted graffiti on a service door between April 16-18 on the 1000 block of Commerce Court.
