Police Blotter: Noisy Furnace Disturbs Neighbor

These were among the reports released Feb. 9 by the Buffalo Grove Police Department.

NOISE COMPLAINT

A resident of the 100 block of White Branch Court reported at 5:45 p.m. Feb. 8 that her neighbor’s furnace and humidifier were making excessive noise, and that the neighbor was jamming the resident’s phone and radio. An officer checked the phone, which was working. Officers spoke with the neighbor and determined that the neighbor’s furnace was actually quieter than the resident’s.  

THEFT

A resident of the 300 block of Checker Drive reported that FexEd left a package containing a new cell phone on the front porch at 1:35 p.m. Feb. 8. When the resident returned home at 3:45 p.m., the package was gone. The cell phone was valued at more than $500.

TRUANCY

A 16-year-old Arlington Heights resident was charged with truancy at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at Buffalo Grove High School.
