Police Blotter: Neighbor Catches Stranger Crawling through Window

ALCOHOL

A 15-year-old Buffalo Grove resident was charged with possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor and curfew violation at 2:10 a.m. March 28 on the 1100 block of Deerfield Parkway.

AMBULANCE ASSIST

Grandparents reported finding their grandson unresponsive at 8:30 a.m. March 27. Items found in the victim’s bedroom indicated a drug overdose. The 19-year old was transported to Northwest Community Hospital by paramedics.

CURFEW VIOLATION

A 16-year-old Kildeer resident was charged with curfew violation at 2:10 a.m. March 28 on the 1100 block of Deerfield Parkway.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A resident of the 400 block of Bernard Drive reported a person climbing into a neighboring house through a window at 3 p.m. March 27. Officers located the person, who was employed by a real estate agent. The house recently was foreclosed on and the person was sent to assess the home. All was verified.

WELL-BEING CHECK

A doctor called police at 8:55 p.m. March 27 and said that he was unable to reach a patient and he was concerned that the patient was unconscious due to low blood sugar. An officer checked the home and found it empty. The officer contacted the patient’s mother in California and she stated that she spoke with her son several times that day, and that his was fine and living in Evanston. The mother called the doctor.
