Police Blotter: DUI, Abandoned Bicycle

ALCOHOL
Donna M. Hart, 50, of the 200 block of Thistle, Lake Zurich, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to yield while turning left and driving without insurance at 6:04 p.m. Feb. 24 on Buffalo Grove Road near Old Oak Drive.

A resident of Villa Verde Drive reported two men came to his door at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 25 to talk to him about converting his electricity from ComEd to Rescom Energy. The homeowner asked the men to leave, which they did. It was later learned that the men did work for Rescom, but they did not have a Buffalo Grove solicitor’s permit. The company was contacted and was told to obtain the proper permits with the village prior to soliciting.
FOUND PROPERTY
A resident of the 200 block of Belaire Drive reported seeing a girl’s green Roadmaster bike laying on the grass from Feb. 22-25. Officers brought the bike back to the police station for safekeeping.
THEFT

A resident reported she lost her debit card in Chicago on Feb. 13 and later discovered several unauthorized transactions on her account. The resident was given directions on how to check her credit history and contact the bank that issued the card.
