Police Blotter: Damaged Gutters, Suspected Air Tampering

ANIMALS

Officers responding to a report of a stray dog on St. Mary’s Parkway found at mal pit bull at 10:50 a.m. June 14. Officers took the dog to the station, contacted its owner and the dog was returned.

A citizen reported finding a stray white poodle at 3:59 p.m. June 14 at Deerfield Road and Milwaukee Avenue. The dog was taken to a local animal hospital. It’s owner could not immediately be located.

Officers located a stray tan Pug that was found running at 4:25 p.m. June 15 on the 100 block of McHenry Road. The dog was captured and transported to King’s Kennels after the owner could not be located. 

A citizen reported finding a stray brown Labradoodle at 6:41 p.m. June 15 on the 900 block of Thompson Drive. The owner was contacted and came to the station to retrieve the dog.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

A resident of the 900 block of Pine Tree Circle South reported loud banging was coming from the upstairs unit at 10:30 p.m. June 13. Officers arrived and charged the neighbor, Susan E. Lee, with disorderly conduct. 

IDENTITY THEFT

A resident reported that several credit accounts were opened in his name between June 9-16. He requested a police report for his bank. 

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A resident reported a large tree branch fell onto his vehicle while it parked in his driveway at 11 p.m. June 15 on the 1000 block of Alden.

A resident of the 500 block of Checker Drive reported that his newly installed gutters were damaged between June 9-16. It was not known who damaged the gutters. 

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A resident of the 100 block of Lake Boulevard reported that she thought someone was tampering with the air quality inside her unit at 11:43 p.m. June 13. Officers checked the area for anything unusual and did not find anything. 

THEFT

A complainant someone stole cash while he stepped away from the front counter of the Wyndham Garden Hotel the morning of June 16.
