Police Blotter: Car Hood Walked On, Paintball Gun Damages Vehicle

ALCOHOL
Kamila D. Yildiz, 33, of the 9600 block of Brandy Court, Des Plaines, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding at 2:45 a.m. Oct. 28 on Buffalo Grove Road at McHenry Road.
BURGLARY
A resident of Oak Creek Drive reported that someone strew papers inside his vehicle and took two subwoofers and an amplifier from the trunk between Oct. 18-29. The vehicle was unlocked.

DRUGS
Nelson Castillo, 37, of the 3000 block of Central Road, Glenview, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with an obstructed windshield at 11:10 p.m. Oct. 28 on Lake-Cook Road at Weiland Road.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
An Outback Steakhouse employee reported that someone walked on the hood of her vehicle and left a number of scratches between 4-11 p.m. Oct. 28. The manager will review security video for possible offender information.

A resident of the 1-100 block of Canterbury Lane reported that someone shot out her vehicle’s tail lights, and a gray or blue Honda CR-V or similar vehicle had been seen fleeing the area northbound on Highland Grove Drive, with its lights off at 12:20 a.m. Oct. 30. The damage appeared to be caused by a paintball gun.
