Police Blotter: Car Burglarized, After-Hours Pool Party

ALCOHOL

Christopher S. Monsen, 23, of the 400 block of St. Mary's Parkway, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and damage to village property at 12:49 a.m. June 7 on the 400 block of St. Mary’s Parkway.

Terrence V. Otis, 37, of the 5000 block of Throop Street, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence and illegal lane usage at 3:14 a.m. June 8 on North Milwaukee Avenue.

Dimitar Dimitrov, 23, of the 2000 block of Greenwood Avenue, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence and illegal lane usage at 3:35 a.m. June 9 on Lake-Cook Road at Buffalo Grove Road.

BURGLARY

A resident of the 500 block of Vernon Lane reported that she heard her car alarm go off, and went out to investigate. She discovered that her window had been broken, and several items were missing from her vehicle.

DRUGS

Jacob I. Stolberg, 18, of the 900 block of Pine Tree Circle South, Buffalo Grove, was charged with possession of marijuana at 10:27 p.m. June 6 on the 1100 block of Windbrooke.

Joseph M. Arenson, 18, of the 0-100 block of Dellmont Court, Buffalo Grove, was charged with possession of marijuana at 10:27 p.m. June 6 on the 1100 block of Windbrooke.

PHONE HARASSMENT

A resident reported June 7 that she has received several phone calls stating that she is under investigation for owing money. She was advised on how to respond if they should call again.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

A resident reported their vehicle was struck by a golf ball between 2:30-3:30 p.m. June 7 on the 300 block of Satinwood Court North. The vehicle’s owner was contacted by person who hit the ball. A windshield was damaged between 9 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. June 8 on the 300 block of Willow Parkway.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A complainant reported that he observed individuals in the pool on the 900 block of Hidden Lake Drive at 10 p.m. June 6, after closing hours. He informed them that they needed to leave, which they promptly did.
