BG Firefighters to Distribute Halloween Treats
Firefighters will pass out trick-or-treat bags to 1,000 children on Halloween.
Members of the Buffalo Grove Fire Department will distribute Halloween goodie bags throughout the village's neighborhoods as children trick-or-treat from 2-7 p.m. Oct. 31.
The department will pass out 1,000 bags. Five bags will contain a "Golden Ticket" redeemable for a ride to school on a fire truck.
Families are invited to stop and talk to the firefighters. They can also bring their cameras to have their pictures taken by a fire truck.

"It also is a chance for the firefighters to have fun with the children but more importantly to be an extra set of eyes watching over the children as they go through the neighborhoods," the department said in a press release.
