The choir I sing in, Encore!, has become a finalist in the Deer Park Shopping Center Sing Contest. (Encore! is a program of the Buffalo Grove Park District.)
Voting for the finalists to go to the national competition goes through October 5th.
Only one choral group will go on, so Encore! needs your help. (The other 2 choral groups are from high schools so you know they can get the vote out!) This contest has been held at 12 shopping center across the U.S. with over 600 contestants. We are now down to 36 choral groups and 36 soloists.
You can vote for Encore! 1 time each day through October 5th. You may have to fill out a profile to allow you in to vote. Vote for Encore! at http://www.deerpark.2011sing.com/sing-contest/4

The grand prize is a check for $20,000 to the charity of our choice which is a local charity – the Lauri Bauer Foundation for Sudden Loss. They provide counseling and help for local families that suffer a sudden loss of a parent or child.
