Braiman is 'a Beacon of Public Trust'

For the past 10 years, I have had the honor and privilege to work closely with Jeff Braiman. Given my up close and personal experiences with Jeff, I can unequivocally say that he will be an outstanding Judge for Lake County. 

If there were two words to describe Jeff and to demonstrate why he would be an exceptional Judge, those words would be Independence and Integrity. During Board deliberations, Jeff always listens to the facts at hand and never comes to the table with a preconceived opinion. This is a critical trait for someone who will be entrusted with the responsibilities of justice and ensuring that each and everyone of us is treated fairly and equitably.

I know Jeff has talked throughout his campaign about his refusal to accept campaign donations because he does not feel it proper for a jurist to do so. What you may not know, is that Jeff has never solicited or accepted campaign donations throughout his 20+ years of service as a Village Trustee and Mayor. As many of us say, actions speak louder than words and Jeff's actions over the past 20 years clearly indicate his commitment to independence and the highest levels of integrity.

Jeff has devoted much of his adult life to making our community a better place to raise a family and he has proven over the course of the years to be a man of his word and a man who can be trusted with the most serious of responsibilities. I can think of no one better to uphold the sanctity of our justice system than someone who has been tested under the microscope of the public and the media and who clearly stands as a beacon of public trust and confidence.
