School's out, the turkey's thawing, and you're wondering what local stores are open and services are available in Buffalo Grove on Thanksgiving Day.
Well, banks are closed on Thanksgiving, and there will be no mail delivery or garbage pick-up.
But if you need a last-minute ingredient for your turkey dinner, you're in luck. Buffalo Grove's Jewel is open Thanksgiving Day, 24 hours.

All three Dominick's stores will also be open, but will operate under holiday hours. The Lake-Cook Road and Buffalo Grove Road locations will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., while the store on Half Day Road will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
And for those who just can't wait for those Black Friday sales, . Malls across the region will open in the early hours of the morning. At Woodfield, shoppers will not only be forgiven for wearing pajamas — they will be rewarded for it.
