More Road Construction Planned in Buffalo Grove

Roads are under construction by the Illinois Department of Transportation as well as the Lake and Cook county highway departments.

Road patching on Route 83 will limit traffic to one lane in each direction for another two weeks and between Route 22 and Route 45 for the next three to four weeks. The project is being conducted by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).

IDOT will soon begin patching portions of Milwaukee Avenue from Route 60 to Route 22, and resurfacing Olde Half Day Road (north of Route 22), from Milwaukee Avenue to Route 22. While IDOT has not provided a specific start date, the project is expected to be performed in the next two to three weeks.

Concrete patching and curb replacement will be performed by the Lake County Department of Transportation on Deerfield Parkway from Milwaukee Avenue to McHenry Road. The project, which could including some patching on Arlington Heights Road, is scheduled for completion on Oct. 1.
