Library Transports 20,000 Books in the Rain

It wasn't a great day to bring library materials outside, but Vernon Area Public Library staff members rallied.

When Vernon Area Public Library staff members shuttled 20,000 library books and other materials to a temporary mini-library, they did so in the snow.

Twelve weeks later, rain poured down as they moved the books back into the main building, following a renovation project that closed the facility since March.

Wednesday's weather didn't seem to faze staff members, who donned rain gear and wrapped plastic around the wheeled carts before pushing the carts from the temporary facility back to the main building for reshelving.
