It's Party Time! What Will You Bring?

Patch readers share suggestions for holiday party treats.

As invitations to holiday parties arrived, I asked Buffalo Grove Patch Facebook fans and Twitter followers for suggestions for simple, yet festive, holiday treats. A variety of ideas poured in. If you’re trying to find a treat to bring along to a holiday gathering, perhaps on of these will fit the bill.

Mary Zorn Pospiech I just made gingerbread cake truffles dipped in white chocolate last night. A bit time consuming but not difficult. And they're pretty :)

Megan Horst Hatch I make these flourless peanut butter and chocolate-chip cookies during the holidays: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Flourless-Peanut-Butter-and-Chocolate-Chip-Cookies-102200. Super easy to make, and you can definitely use creamy peanut butter instead of crunchy!

Patti Smith Padavonia (Yes, she's that ambitious!) I will be making peanut clusters, peanut blossoms, cocoa kisses, Mrs. Fields, birds nests, M&M snowballs, spritz, and a multiple of others too

Chris Wright How about Christmas Dessert Bars? Takes less than an hour. Quick, easy and yummy. The recipe is in this free ecookbook: http://www.recipelion.com/Christmas-Recipes/7-Family-Friendly-Christmas-Dessert-Recipes/ct/1
