Will Coffee Drinkers Predict Presidential Outcome?

7-Eleven will stage its CofFREE Day on Sept. 28, when customers can get free coffee in a cup reflecting their preferred presidential candidate.

Can coffee drinkers predict the outcome of the 2012 presidential race?

7-Eleven is continuing its tradition of printing coffee cups bearing the names of the U.S. presidential candidates. Customers can "vote" by choosing their candidate's cup.

Though the company acknowledges that the coffee race is "unscientific" and "just for fun," it also notes that its coffee customers' selections have mirrored the outcome of every presidential race since 2000. This year's "7-Election" process began Sept. 6 and runs until Election Day.
