Nibbles Reopens After Robbery

Nibbles Play Café and three other businesses in a Wheeling shopping center were reportedly robbed this week.

Nibbles Play Café reopened Friday after the business was robbed earlier this week.

Nibbles, a café with a children’s play area, was broken into by a masked man at 2:39 a.m. Jan. 15, the business told customers in an email blast. The offender spent 13 minutes inside before leaving with “a small sum of cash,” the announcement said.

Wires were cut, deactivating the alarm system and taking down Nibbles’ phone, Internet and credit card processing system, which remain out of service Friday, reported the restaurant, which is also sharing updates on its Facebook page. The break-in was captured by security cameras and police are investigating, according to Nibbles.
