Garden Fresh Moving from Wheeling to Buffalo Grove

Garden Fresh Market in Wheeling has publicly announced it is on the move.

The store, which anchors the Garden Fresh Plaza shopping center at the northeast corner of Hintz and Old Buffalo Grove roads, has displayed a sign announcing it will relocate to 770 S. Buffalo Grove Road.

That address, in The Plaza shopping center in Buffalo Grove, was previously home to Dominick's. It is about a mile north of the Wheeling store.

Garden Fresh employees said the move is scheduled for early March.

Garden Fresh opened in Wheeling in 1993, according to its website. While it has a full grocery store, it does not have a liquor department.

The company has applied for a liquor license in Buffalo Grove. Trustees are expected to review that request Monday.
