Chamber Installs Officers, Honors Members

The Buffalo Grove Chamber of Commerce's 2012 officers began their service Jan. 10, when awards were also given for 2011 contributions.

The installed its 2012 board of directors during Tuesday’s meeting at the . Officers include (with business name in parentheses):

President Scott Fishkin (Scott R. Fishkin & Associates), Executive Vice President Larry Wankovsky (Triple J Ventures), Vice President Dr. Gregg Stern (Stern Chiropractic), Secretary Jan Obrand (In Working Order), Treasurer David Weiner (David Weiner & Associates), Past President Marc Blumenthal (Marc J. Blumenthal, Ltd.) and Executive Board Directors Michael Abruzzini (Buffalo Grove Bank & Trust) and Dan Dame (Dame Financial Services).

Directors include Vicki Baker (Gifts of Distinction), Beverly Bloom (Bloomin’ Books), Nels Flatebo (The Leaders’ Forum), Les Klein (L.H. Klein & Associates), Sid Rothenberg (Reliable Information Technology), Alan Schencker (Attorney at Law), Lenna Scott (The Wealshire & The Ponds), Dr. Eric Smith (Smith Neck & Back Pain Center).

Buffalo Grove Deputy Village Manager Ghida Neukirch will serve as the village’s liaison.

Five members were also recognized Tuesday for their 2011 Chamber involvement. Michael Abruzzini (Buffalo Grove Bank & Trust) was named Director of the Year, Arnie Martin (Arnold Martin Music) was named Ambassador of the Year, Shaun Jones (Lakeside Plumbing, Inc.) was named Member of the Year, Vicki Baker (Gifts of Distinction) received the President's Award and Sir Speedy was named Business of the Year. The award was accected by Bob Schroeder.
