Buffalo Grove Chamber of Commerce Approves Lincolnshire Merger

The two chambers will become one in less than a month.

The Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce will merge effective Jan. 1.

The combined organization will be known as the Buffalo Grove Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce. The Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce officially announced the merger following a vote by its members at Tuesday’s lunch meeting.

New networking opportunities will be among the benefits to members, Executive Director Lynne Schneider told Patch last month.

“We know that this partnership will provide some new and exciting events and programs for both chambers. As one chamber we can be a stronger voice for business in our communities,” the Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce wrote in an email blast to its members.

It is expected to take about six months for the two chambers to completely merge. The process will include a legal name change and new logo, by-laws, and website.
