St. Mary Wedding Makes Reality Show

When Michelle Santos and Kunal Ganti were married Oct. 22 at , they had more than a traditional photographer on hand to capture their special day.

The couple’s celebration was filmed by TLC for the station’s reality show, Four Weddings. The show profiles four couples who compete to have the best wedding. The winning couple receives a honeymoon paid by the show.

Santos was invited to apply to compete following her attendance at a wedding show. After months of back-and-forth e-mails, a producer called just a few weeks before her wedding day to tell her that she had been accepted.

The episode will air at 9 p.m. Jan. 27 on TLC. Viewers will learn who won the honeymoon at the end of the episode.

Santos and Ganti will be cheered on by fellow parishioners at St. Mary, where Santos has attended Mass since she was a child. Ganti’s mother was also a parishioner.

Rev. Denis Carneiro presided over their ceremony, which was coordinated by Tracy Friedman.

Mary Pietro sang during the ceremony; her daughters, Jessica and Kayla, were the altar servers.

The couple participated in St. Mary’s marriage preparation program, FOCCUS.

“Our wedding day was, most certainly, the best day of our lives thus far, and we wouldn't have been able to have had such a flawless and blessed ceremony without the love and attentiveness of the most amazing Saint Mary staff. We're looking forward to seeing the church and all the great work that went into making our day so very special on the show,” Santos said.
