Farmers Market Includes Music, Batteries And More

Shoppers at the Buffalo Grove farmers market will be entertained Aug. 21 by Mark & Jean, a duo performing folk, kids and pop music, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The farmers market’s "Guess the Veggies" contest will continue with a new group of vegetables. Shoppers who correctly identify them will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $100 farmers market gift certificate. 

This is the last Sunday to have your watch batteries changed and hair shears sharpened at Sharpening by Dave. He will continue to sharpen your kitchen shears and knives on Sundays through Oct. 16.

The Buffalo Grove Expressions will sell water and pop this week. Food pantry donations will be collected at the information booth.

The farmers market runs from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., rain or shine.
