School Closings Announced for Tuesday, Jan. 28
Students across Buffalo Grove will have four-day weekends, as schools cancel Tuesday's classes due to the extreme cold.
Students across Buffalo Grove will get a second day off school this week. All school districts serving the village have announced they will remain closed Tuesday due to continued sub-zero temperatures.
Stevenson High School, District 96, District 102 and District 103 have canceled classes for Tuesday, they announced Monday afternoon.
District 214 and District 21 announced Sunday their schools would be closed both Monday and Tuesday.
Tuesday's temperature is expected to reach a high of -1, according to the National Weather Service. Wind chill values will be as low as -37.
