Kingswood United Methodist Church presents "The Messiah"

Kingswood United Methodist Church presents "Messiah" on December 22, 2013
during the 10:30 service. The Christmas portion of this famous choral work
will be presented, featuring the 25 voice Kingswood Chancel Choir, soloists,
and the nine-piece Metropolis Chamber Orchestra. This one-hour musical
service will include solos such as, "Comfort Ye My People" and "Rejoice
Greatly, O Daughter of Zion", as well as inspiring choruses like "For Unto
Us a Child is Born" and "Hallelujah!" The Metropolis Chamber Orchestra is
known for its authentic Baroque period performances, and will be bringing a
new vitality to this performance. Soloists include members of the Chicago
Master Singers, as well as church members. Minister of Music Bev Modlin will
be joining the orchestra on the organ, and Randy Lawrence will direct the
chorus and orchestra. Begin your week of Christmas with this inspiring
musical offering.
