Jonathan Migdow founded TDC Jewelry in 1984. He graduated from University of Illinois in 1977 with a degree in Biology. In need of income he found an entry level job at a large wholesale jewelry company. He worked towards an MBA degree at evening courses after work. He eventually became a National Accounts Manager, when the opportunity arose to entrepreneur. With a little borrowed money he took some booth space at a newly opened Jewelers Exchange in Skokie. There he started under the name The Diamond Connection, specializing in the sale of diamonds. In 1986 he opened a full line retail mall store in Rolling Meadows. Customers started to refer to the business as TDC, thus the name change. In 1990 he relocated to the present location in Buffalo Grove. TDC Jewelry was built the old fashioned way. A little money, a great deal of hard work, and great dreams. Jonathan believes he owes his success to work ethic, perseverance, integrity, great customers and a little luck!
