The results are in!
Is it fried food that Buffalo Grove loves, or there simply a passion for Prairie House Tavern? Either way, Patch readers came out in droves again this week to vote for the home of Buffalo Grove’s best fish fry. Just one week after securing the Chowdown Showdown Championship for French fries, Prairie House again came out on top. Congratulations, Prairie House, with 66 percent of the vote and loads of positive comments from community members, you are Buffalo Grove Patch’s Chowdown Showdown Fish Fry Champion! We received a flood of enthusiastic responses this week when we asked where hungry Buffalo Grove residents go for a good fish fry. Buffalo Grove Patch received a record 59 nominations from community members who made it clear that there are two places to find a great fish fry in town: The Arboretum Club’s Wild Goose Café and Prairie House Tavern. Which one is the best? That’s what will be determined this week, when the two restaurants face off in the Chowdown Showdown Fish Fry poll. The poll will be open until 5 p.m. Thursday. Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places.
