Kirk Debt Report Spells Trouble for Local Governments
Senator says mounting federal debt could hurt northern suburbs.
Towns, school districts and park boards have a higher cost of doing business because of Illinois’ deepening debt, according to the Report on Illinois Debt released Tuesday by Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Highland Park).
