Submitted by St. Mary School

This holiday season, St. Mary School's first-grade Daisy Troop #401-590 learned important lessons in sharing. The children donated more than 50 toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program to benefit needy children throughout the area. The event included a visit by two Marines, GySgt. Ana Sobecki and Cpl. Christian Chmielewski. The Marines shared information about the foundation and explained where the toys go. The girls had a chance to try on the Marines' hats and gloves, followed by a lively question-and-answer session. The Marines gave the Daisies a patch for their efforts.
