Stevenson Students Plan Basketball Game Fundraisers

Two organizations will hold fundraisers during games Friday and Tuesday nights.

Heading to a Stevenson High School basketball game? Members of two clubs at the school are asking fans to bring along a little extra money to support their charitable fundraisers. The school’s Relay for Life committee is starting its fundraising this year by holding “Hoops for Hope” events at the sophomore and varsity boys basketball games against Libertyville on Friday. The sophomore game is at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity contest at 7:30. Both games will be played in the Sports Center. Club members will also sell gray and purple Stevenson T-shirts with a cancer ribbon logo during all of the lunch periods on Friday. The T-shirts are $8 and will be worn at the games to create a “Purple Out” in the stands. There will also be a bake sale…
