Sex Offender Held After Robbing Waitress, Buffalo Grove Family

The man made sexual advances on the teenage waitress while a Buffalo Grove mother and her children hid in the bathroom, texting her husband to call 911.

A Tennessee convict is ordered held in lieu of $1 million after storming into the Lake View restaurant Cassava Bread Sunday night and robbing a waitress, a Buffalo Grove mother and her two children, the Chicago Tribune reports. William Castle, 43, was charged with aggravated robbery, unlawful restraint and aggravated kidnapping, police said. He is also on Tennessee’s sexual offender registry for aggravated sexual battery in 2009. Police say the Buffalo Grove family was eating at the Lake View bakery at 3338 N. Clark St. when Castle busted in around 6:10 p.m., asking the 19-year-old waitress if he could use the bathroom, the Hartford Courant reports. Four Charged with Robbery in Buffalo Grove

Buffalo Grove police said a victim was robbed of $700 after the alleged robbers displayed a weapon.

Buffalo Grove police have charged four men, including a Buffalo Grove resident, with robbery following an incident Wednesday night near Pine Tree Circle and Hidden Lake Drive.  Charged with one count of robbery and one count of aggravated robbery were John Mares-Coleman, 18, of 455 Raupp Blvd., Buffalo Grove; Kenneth Green, 20, and Robert Green, 18, both of 1131 Walnut Drive, Arlington Heights; and Jacobe Umoren, 20, of 915 Westmoreland Drive, Vernon Hills. Buffalo Grove Cmdr. Jim Newton said the four displayed a firearm and forcibly took about $700 from a victim around 7 p.m. June 6. “It was a replica of a real gun, but the victim thought it was a real gun,” he said. The article does not state why the victim had that much money on him/her so to make such a comment is out of line. The report has not reported ANYTHING about the victim (gender, criminal background, age,etc) so it is ridiculous to assume anything about the victim.
