Red Rose Children's Choir to Participate in Newtown Remembrance Concert
A Buffalo Grove teen will be among those singing in the concert, which will be broadcast Sunday on WFMT, Chicago's classical radio station.
The Red Rose Children's Choir of Lake County is one of several choirs that will participate in a special concert to remember the lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, CT. The choir will participate in the Healing the Brokenhearted concert at 5 p.m. Jan. 13 at St. James Cathedral, 5 E. Huron St., Chicago. The concert will be recorded and then broadcast at 7 p.m. on 98.7 WFMT, Chicago's classical radio station, and on WFMT's website. "It's a really big honor," said Amy Younts, executive director of the Red Rose Children's Choir.
