Police Blotter: Suspicious Vehicle, Stolen Wallet

ALCOHOL Erin L. Rotheiser, 23, of the 400 block of Navajo, Wheeling, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above .08 and violating a traffic control device at 1:33 a.m. May 21 at Buffalo Grove and Dundee roads. PROPERTY DAMAGE Zenaida Chino-Bernal, 44, of the 4000 block of Bonhill Drive, Arlington Heights, was charged with no valid driver’s license, driving without insurance, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and damage to village property after hitting a tree at 11:36 p.m. May 21 at St. Marys Parkway and Hiawatha Drive. SCAM A resident reported that she ordered four handbags online on May 5 and she received poor quality hair jewelry instead.  SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE A jogger reported …

Police Blotter: Driver Takes Up Two Parking Spaces, Gets Critical Note

ALCOHOL An intoxicated person was found stumbling by the roadside at 3:13 p.m. May 19 at North Buffalo Grove and West Lake-Cook roads. An officer contacted a family member who took the person home.  Kennethraj Kanniah, 43, of the1100 Block of Lockwood Drive, Buffalo Grove, was charged with unlawful sale of alcohol to a minor May 16 at Walgreens. FOUND PROPERTY A resident of the 300 Block of Town Place Circle reported May 18 that an item fell of a truck and landed in their yard. The item was transported to the police department and placed into evidence for storage.   A bicycle was found at 6:32 p.m. May 19 on the 1000 block of Buffalo Grove Road. Police Blotter: Officer Calls Deuce in Tennis Court Dispute

DISPUTES A resident reported having an argument with her mother at 3:37 p.m. May 16. Officers stood by as the resident gathered some items to stay elsewhere for the night.  A resident reported having an argument with another person at 5:30 p.m. May 16 over the use of the tennis courts at Blue Ash Drive and Dunstan Lane. Officers suggested they share the court. FOUND PROPERTY A citizen found a wallet at 1 p.m. May 15 in a gas station parking lot. Officers contacted the owner who will pick it up.  PHONE HARASSMENT  A resident reported receiving text messages from an unknown person the evening of May 14. THEFT Someone left the Shell station without paying for gas at 7 a.m. May 13. Driver information was obtained and officers will contact the customer. A resident reported several unauthorized purchases were made on his credit card between January 2011 and December 2012. OTHER INCIDENTS A resident reported receiving a notice from a doctor’s office stating that someone used her personal information to make appointments on May 13.

Police Blotter: Angry Customer Throws Food Back at Restaurant

ALCOHOL  Marvin D. Potter, 35, of the 600 block of Cobblestone, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence and a traffic control violation at 10:17 p.m. May 1 on Lake-Cook Road at McHenry Road. COMPLAINT A resident of the 700 block of Weidner Road reported noise coming from her neighbor’s unit at 4 a.m. May 11. Officers contacted the neighbor and explained the report. The neighbor stated they would keep the noise down.  DISPUTE A Wendy’s employee reported a customer became irate and threw his bag of food at the drive-thru window at 4:05 p.m. May 11. ALCOHOL A resident of the 200 block of Autumn reported receiving calls from her intoxicated neighbor at 4 a.m. May 7. Officers contacted the caller and advised him to stop. Jack K. Gwinn, 25, of the 2200 block of Nichols, Arlington Heights, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding at 11:43 p.m. May 7 on Dundee Road at Vernon Lane. Grace A. Tisdale, 45, of the 100 block of Birch, Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding at 11:38 p.m. May 8 at Milwaukee Avenue and Busch Parkway. ANIMALS A resident of the 500 block of Hackberry reported that she was bitten by her dog at 4:10 p.m. May 8. DRUGS Nerary G. Yousif, 27, of the 9000 block of Lauren, Niles, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia at 8:40 pm. May 5 on the 100 block of north Buffalo Grove Road. LOST/FOUND PROPERTY A citizen reported losing a wallet May 6 somewhere in the area of the driveway or roadway on the 200 block of Mohawk.  A citizen reported finding a .45 caliber bullet lying on the roadway at 4:08 p.m. May 6 on the 400 block of Highland Grove Drive. The bullet was rusted and appeared to have been unearthed by the construction crew doing sidewalk repairs. Police Blotter: Loud Noise, Rearranged Backyard

DISPUTE A complainant reported May 2 that a former employee had not returned business property. The former employee then returned the items. SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT A resident of the 300 block of Hiawatha reported someone moved several items around in her backyard between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. May 2. The resident had no idea who moved the items.   SUSPICIOUS NOISE A resident of the 400 block of Anthony reported hearing a loud noise in the lower portion of her home at 2:15 a.m. May 2. Officers checked the interior and exterior and found nothing unusual.

Police Blotter: Abandoned Bike, Forged Prescription

ALCOHOL William C. Mooney, 44, of the 500 block of Crown Point Court, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit, illegal lane use, damage to property and failure to notify of a change of address/name at 1:50 a.m. April 28 on the 400 block of Gardenia Lane. ANIMALS A citizen reported finding a brown male Chihuahua at 8:30 a.m. April 27 at Port Clinton and Buffalo Grove roads. Officers were unable to locate the owner of the dog, which they transported to King’s Kennel. A black Chihuahua and an orange cat were found at 5 a.m. May 1 in the Speedway parking lot.
