FBI agents arrested Monday a man suspected of robbing a Buffalo Grove bank last month. Martin Crossley, 37, faces a charge in connection with a Nov. 30 robbery of First Merit Bank in Des Plaines. Crossley, of Lombard, has not been charged in connection with the Nov. 19 robbery of Buffalo Grove’s PNC Bank, but the criminal complaint filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Chicago alleges that he robbed that bank as well as a Fifth Third Bank in Oak Brook on Nov. 29. Investigators are still looking for the man they say robbed a PNC Bank in Buffalo Grove last week. Buffalo Grove Deputy Police Chief Steve Husak said police, along with the FBI, have received a few leads from the public, but they have not led to an arrest. PNC Bank was robbed Monday afternoon.
Buffalo Grove police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who robbed PNC Bank Monday afternoon. Police said a white man, about 5-foot-8, who was wearing glasses, a Chicago Bears hat and striped sweater entered the bank's Lake-Cook Road location and demanded money from a teller at 4:50 p.m. Nov. 19. No weapon was displayed or mentioned. The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of money and the man left on foot, police said. No one was injured during the incident. Deputy Chief Steve Husak said Buffalo Grove police are working with the FBI to identify the suspect, who was caught on the bank's surveillance camera.
