Meridian Teacher Wins NASA Fellowship
Maralee Scott will learn firsthand from NASA engineers.
Meridian Middle School teacher Maralee Scott has been accepted into the NASA Endeavor Science Fellowship Program for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. Scott, who teaches sixth grade math, science and writing, will begin the program Jan. 11. She is one of 42 middle and high school STEM teachers in the U.S. who will have the opportunity to work beside NASA engineers and mentors. The program focuses on aeronautics modeling and simulation and provides teachers with the opportunity to experience cutting-edge technology, explore aerospace engineering concepts and develop hands-on lessons that will engage and inspire students.
