Love pancakes? How about FREE pancakes? Today marks National Pancake Day at IHOP Restaurants. Patrons will receive a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes between 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. In exchange for the pancakes, restaurant-goers are asked to consider leaving a donation for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals or other designated local charities. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago is one of the hospitals that will benefit from donations. National Pancake Day began in 2006 and has raised more than $10 million to support local hositals and charities. The Buffalo Grove IHOP Restaurant is located at 51 McHenry Road. The organization reveals the caloric, fat and sugar contents of specific dishes at IHOP (the only restaurant on the list with a Buffalo Grove location) as well as Chili’s, Maggiano’s, The Cheesecake Factory, Uno Chicago Grill, Johnny Rockets and Smoothie King.
